St. Stephen’s Church
has an active and vibrant Youth Program which engages youth grades 6-12
in a variety of spiritual, social, and service opportunities.
Our Middle School
program, Middle Earth, meets every Sunday throughout the school year to
share in the 9:15 Family Eucharist. Following the Eucharist,
we meet in the downstairs youth room for prayer, fellowship, and a
lesson. In addition to our Sunday morning meetings, Middle
Earth enjoys monthly dinners and Movie Nights and participation in
periodic service projects, “overnights” and retreats.
In addition to weekly
worship and participation in periodic service projects, “overnights” and
retreats, our High School youth spend each year in enthusiastic
preparation for their annual participation in a Group Workcamp!
Each year approximately 20 high school youth from St. Stephen’s join our
Workcamp team, and prepare for the “Workcamp Experience” through monthly
meetings and fundraisers. At Workcamp, youth have the opportunity
to deepen their friendships and relationship with God, while providing
much needed home repairs for needy families and individuals.

Confirmation
Preparation for Youth (Grades 8 and up) begins each year in September,
and continues through mid-June. The Confirmation Preparation
program at St. Stephen’s focuses on an exploration of the Baptismal
Covenant, and requires students to participate in a variety of classes,
worship services, retreats, and service projects. In order to
most fully support youth and families in the program, parents of
Confirmation students participate in a concurrent “Adult Commitment”
class.
